Developing and Taking a Probiotic Product to Market

Friday, September 29 | 8:30-11:30am

Probiotics are the top trending ingredient globally, as consumers understand more about the health benefits and formulators discover new ingredients and formulation skills to develop efficacious products. In this workshop, produced with the support of the International Probiotics Association (IPA), we’ll explore the supply chain considerations all the way to finished product—from choosing the right application and delivery format to strain selection, necessary testing, and best practices for compliant labeling. Speakers will also offer consumer market trends data to help guide product development and launch, as well as an overview of what is happening in the regulatory space that affects probiotic ingredients and product launches.

  • What are the prime consumer markets for probiotic products, and in which delivery formats?
  • How does the current U.S. regulatory structure impact your product marketing efforts?
  • What are the supply chain considerations from ingredient sourcing and manufacturing to testing and labeling that will affect market success?
